Chandratilak Vidyamandir School, Bilaspur District, Chattisgarh The society runs primary schooling in the densely forested tribal area near Bilaspur in Chattisgarh, India. Started by a retired Medical Officer, Dr R R Tiwary, this school had been a shining example of social enterprise in tribal community. In this school, 186 village children (72 girls) are getting free education till class 4th. The society, which has been running on voluntary contributions alone with little support available from other sources, was in danger of closing down in 2013 before the interventions by SSC.
